Databricks introduced Lakehouse//RT, a unified real-time data warehouse powered by the Reyden engine that eliminates the need for separate serving layers by delivering millisecond performance directly on the lakehouse. Preview customers reported up to 16x better performance than traditional real-time serving systems, with response times as low as 10ms on smaller datasets and sub-100ms on larger ones.
The solution provides real-time analytics while maintaining centralized governance through Unity Catalog, eliminating data duplication and operational overhead.
