AWS makes Amazon Bedrock Managed Knowledge Base generally available, offering fully managed RAG grounded in enterprise data.
AWS launched Amazon Bedrock Managed Knowledge Base, a fully managed retrieval-augmented generation service now generally available, letting developers build enterprise-grade generative AI apps grounded in proprietary data in minutes.
It removes the need to manage vector databases, data pipelines, or retrieval infrastructure, handling ingestion, embedding, vector storage, re-ranking, and retrieval optimization automatically.
The service includes six native connectors: Amazon S3, SharePoint, Confluence, Google Drive, OneDrive, and Web Crawler, with automatic syncing. Smart Parsing determines the optimal parsing strategy per data type, preserving metadata, embedded images, and thread context while processing multimodal content across text, images, audio, video, and multiple languages.
