CrowdStrike Unveils Continuous Identity for AI Agents

CIO Influence, Tuesday, June 16th, 2026

CrowdStrike introduces real-time identity security for AI agents, replacing static access with risk-based authorization.

CrowdStrike announced a capability enabling dynamic authorization of AI agent actions based on real-time risk assessment rather than standing privileges.

The solution assigns cryptographically verifiable identities to agents using the SPIFFE standard and evaluates access based on agent ownership, caller identity, and device risk posture. Access is granted immediately when needed and revoked when no longer necessary, eliminating permanent privilege grants.

The technology integrates with CrowdStrike's AI Detection and Response to monitor agent behavior and prevent unauthorized actions. This approach addresses security gaps created by AI agents operating at machine speed with system-level privileges.
