Cycloid Adds Managed Environments Capability to IDP

Cycloid introduced managed environments for its IDP to enable centralized control of developer environment provisioning.
Cycloid has released a managed environments feature for its internal developer platform that lets platform engineering teams centrally control how developer environments are provisioned, replacing ad-hoc approaches with standardized configurations.
The capability enables pre-configured production, staging, and development environments with appropriate cloud accounts, regions, permissions, and cost-tracking tags.
The company is also enhancing federated visibility across multiple IDP instances and expanding AI agent functionality for managing Model Context Server plugins. Future plans include codifying environment creation through Terraform to automate provisioning, addressing consistency and compliance as AI tools make creating new environments more frequent.
