Can CISOs Trust Their Applications? TrustCloud Wants to Replace the Questionnaire

SecurityWeek, Tuesday, June 16th, 2026

TrustCloud aims to replace manual application-trust questionnaires with continuous, AI-driven monitoring for CISOs.

SecurityWeek (by senior contributor Kevin Townsend) examines how CISOs still assess trust in production applications through a manual, point-in-time process: questionnaires sent to the teams running apps, chased, collated, and subjectively analyzed, at best quarterly and often annually.

TrustCloud seeks to replace this by continuously analyzing security, infrastructure, and governance data to give CISOs a real-time view of application risk and board-ready assurance.

Its approach swaps manual data collection for automated continuous monitoring and subjective interpretation for objective, AI-driven assessment. The goal is less time-consuming effort and more accurate assessments that both improve application security and demonstrate trust to the board on demand.
