HPE Expands Offensive Against VMware With Migration Incentives
Techstrong IT, Wednesday, June 17th, 2026
HPE launches migration program offering free VM Essentials licensing and discounted Zerto access to attract VMware customers.
HPE unveiled an initiative to capture organizations seeking alternatives to VMware following Broadcom's acquisition and cost increases.
The program provides one year of complimentary HPE Morpheus VM Essentials licensing and access to HPE Zerto migration tools for $1, removing the cost barrier of paying for dual environments during transitions.
HPE Morpheus VM Essentials, built on KVM, delivers high availability, live migration, workload balancing, and unified management across VMware and HPE systems. Channel partners hitting competency targets receive three years of free licenses, while HPE shifts select products to channel-exclusive distribution from July 1 and plans to unify its partner program with Juniper's by November 1.
