Anthropic Ships Major Claude Design Overhaul With Design System Imports, Code Round-Trips, and a Fix for Its Token-Burning Problem

Anthropic overhauls Claude Design with design system imports, Claude Code round-trips, enterprise brand controls, and reduced token usage.
Anthropic shipped a major Claude Design update adding design system imports from GitHub repos, design files, or uploads, letting Claude build with those components and auto-correct against them. Finished designs hand off to Claude Code with no rebuild, and a /design terminal command lets developers create, edit, and sync projects.
The update addresses a token-burning problem flagged by early testers (one review used 80% of a weekly Pro allowance in 25 minutes) by sharing usage limits across chat, Cowork, and Code and lowering per-turn token use. A new admin role lets enterprises lock down a standard design system, positioning the tool as a design-system compliance layer connected to code.
