Building an AI-First Fintech Startup: How Remitian grew 10X and disrupted the tax payment industry
Julia will be interviewing Solon Angel, Co-founder and CEO of Remitian.
Solon has been building with AI since before the word went mainstream.
In 2015, he co-founded MindBridge AI using machine learning to catch financial anomalies in audits when most of the industry was still running on spreadsheets and gut instinct. He built it into a platform trusted by major accounting firms and financial institutions worldwide, then exited to PSG Equity.
Then he did it again, yet with his past experience to guide him.
His latest company, Remitian, is rethinking one of the most overlooked pain points in business finance: tax remittance. Instead of funneling the complexity through central agencies, Remitian puts that power directly in the hands of CPA firms giving them an AI-native platform to manage tax payments across North America on behalf of their clients. The result has been 10X growth, driven not just by a better product, but by a company where AI runs the operations.
