The Deepfake Detector in Your Pocket: Introducing Bitdefender RealCheck

Bitdefender, Wednesday, June 24th, 2026

Bitdefender launched RealCheck, a free iOS and Android app that analyzes videos to detect deepfakes and malicious intent.

Bitdefender introduced RealCheck, a standalone iOS and Android app that lets users submit a video link or file to assess whether footage has been manipulated and whether it carries deceptive intent such as fraud or defamation.

The app performs a multi-layered analysis and returns a detailed report covering manipulation likelihood, deceptive intent, and transcript-level indicators, while distinguishing malicious fakes from satire.

It can evaluate local uploads and content from X, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, and flags public figures being impersonated in active campaigns. RealCheck is available across 14 countries, noting people spot high-quality deepfakes only about 24% of the time.
