AI Has Moved From Assistance to Action. Is Your Security Model Ready?
Check Point, Wednesday, June 24th, 2026
Check Point says agentic AI now takes autonomous action, and most organizations lack the architecture to govern it.
Check Point argues that AI has shifted from passive assistance to autonomous action, with agents retrieving data, calling APIs, invoking tools, and executing multi-step workflows.
Citing its 2026 Cloud Security Report, the piece notes 77% of organizations have changed security strategy in response to AI, but only 26% have the architecture to enforce it and just 5% have full visibility into AI tool usage.
The harder question is no longer who has access but what AI does with that access. Check Point recommends discovering AI usage, turning governance into enforceable policy, continuously validating AI systems, and protecting agent behavior at runtime.
