Cohere details how it built an automated security agent using its North platform integrated with Wiz cloud security software through a custom Model Context Protocol (MCP) server.
The agent handles incident response workflows, from triaging critical findings to drafting reports and creating tickets, collapsing what previously took 30 minutes to two hours per finding into an automated process.
The team exposed eight atomic tools through the MCP server that query Wiz's GraphQL API, letting North perform complex security analysis while preserving data accuracy. Cohere has made the full implementation publicly available for others to replicate.
