OpenAI launches Patch the Planet to help open source projects move from vulnerability findings to fixes.
OpenAI announced Patch the Planet, a Daybreak initiative founded with Trail of Bits and in collaboration with HackerOne and others, to help widely used open source projects move from security findings to fixes.
More than 30 open source projects committed to participate, including cURL, Go, Python, Sigstore, and pyca/cryptography.
The program applies OpenAI's cyber-capable models and tooling to accelerate end-to-end patching for critical open source software that underpins much of the internet.
