Anbox Cloud on C4A Metal: Android, at Scale, Without Friction
Ubuntu, Wednesday, June 24th, 2026
Anbox Cloud now runs on Google Cloud C4A bare-metal instances for native-Arm Android at scale.
Canonical's Anbox Cloud platform has been optimized to run on Google Cloud's Axion-based C4A metal bare-metal instances, eliminating the performance penalties of nested virtualization.
This lets developers run large-scale Android systems directly on native Arm hardware while keeping cloud elasticity, which is especially valuable for Cuttlefish farms and system-level Android development.
Teams can match the fidelity of physical device labs with cloud scalability and deploy across C4A metal, C4A, and N4A instances from a single unified platform. The result is faster feedback cycles and reduced operational complexity for modern Android development.
