NVIDIA Introduces Halos for Robotics to Bridge the Physical AI Safety Gap
SiliconANGLE, Monday, June 22nd, 2026
NVIDIA launches Halos for Robotics, a full safety framework for building, testing, and managing AI robotics.
NVIDIA announced Halos for Robotics, described as the industry's first full framework for robotic safety systems spanning building, testing, and managing AI robotics applications.
It combines industrial-grade compute (IGX Thor), sensor connectivity (Holoscan), and Halos OS safety software, with features like human detection, avoidance, and emergency freezing.
Agility Robotics is the first adopter, deploying humanoids for Amazon, GXO, Schaeffler, and Toyota.
The move responds to the EU Machinery Regulation taking effect January 2027 and to safety being cited as a top roadblock to physical AI adoption.
NVIDIA also offers a Halos AI Systems Inspection Lab with partners TUV Rheinland and UL Solutions.
