HPCwire, Monday, June 22nd, 2026
NVIDIA's Vera Rubin platform brings over 7 exaflops of AI and strong FP64 performance to scientific supercomputing.
NVIDIA announced that its Vera Rubin platform delivers world-class supercomputers for science, combining native double-precision FP64 performance, CUDA-X libraries, and full-stack AI capabilities. Each system offers more than 7 exaflops of AI for science, 5 petaflops of native FP64, and up to 144 GPUs per rack, rivaling TOP500-class systems.
It accelerates demanding HPC workloads such as climate modeling, computational fluid dynamics, and energy exploration.
System makers Bull, Dell, GIGABYTE, HPE, and Supermicro are building custom high-density Vera Rubin systems.
adopters include Leibniz Supercomputing Centre, NERSC, and Los Alamos National Laboratory.
