Snowflake announced same-day availability of Anthropic's Claude Sonnet 5 in private preview on its Cortex AI platform, as a launch partner with Anthropic.
The model powers enhanced capabilities across Snowflake tools including CoCo, an AI coding agent, CoWork, a personal work agent for knowledge workers, and Cortex AI Functions.
This enables enterprises to build more sophisticated agentic applications while maintaining security and governance within Snowflake's infrastructure. The move deepens Snowflake's integration of frontier LLM capabilities into its data platform.
