DirtyClone Linux Kernel Local Privilege Escalation Vulnerability Fixes Available

Ubuntu has released kernel patches for DirtyClone (CVE-2026-43503), a high-severity local privilege escalation flaw.

Ubuntu published fixes for CVE-2026-43503, a high-severity Linux kernel vulnerability nicknamed DirtyClone that was publicly disclosed on June 25, 2026 following research by JFrog.

The flaw lets local users escalate to root privileges on affected systems and could enable container escape in containerized environments.

Canonical has shipped security updates across multiple Ubuntu releases. Users are advised to update their kernel packages and reboot to fully apply the fix.
