GigaOm's 2026 Object Storage Radar report ranks 27 suppliers across three tiers: 11 leaders, 15 challengers, and one entrant. VAST Data and Nutanix are rated as top outperformers moving fastest in the field.
Seagate stands alone as the sole feature-play vendor, having shifted away from a platform-focused strategy. StorJ, Quantum, and IBM moved leftward toward platform approaches, while Cloudian and WEKA were downgraded from leader to challenger status.
