SIEM Log Management With a Security Data Pipeline
Realm Security, Thursday, July 2nd, 2026
A security data pipeline that filters logs before they reach the SIEM can cut ingest costs while preserving detection.
Realm Security argues that traditional SIEM log management is inefficient because organizations forward excessive log volumes with little security value, driving up storage costs.
It cites that only 51 percent of SecOps leaders find their current SIEM very effective at reducing mean time to detect and respond.
The proposed solution is a security data pipeline that processes logs before they reach the SIEM across four stages: normalization, filtering, protection, and routing.
Claimed benefits include 200 percent greater data reduction than legacy filtering, 50 to 70 percent volume reduction with AI filtering, and 50 to 80 percent lower SIEM ingest costs. The approach aims to preserve detection capability while cutting cost and performance burden.
